Do I need to download anything?
No. ChildMinderPro runs in your web browser on any phone, tablet, or computer. On a phone you can add it to your home screen so it opens just like an app.
How long is the free trial?
You get a 5-day free trial with full access to every feature. If you need a little longer, you can request a 7-day extension.
What happens when the trial ends?
You simply choose a plan to keep going. Your data stays exactly where it is — nothing is lost. The trial banner also disappears once you subscribe.
How much does it cost after the trial?
£12.99 per month, or £145.88 per year (which works out cheaper over the year).
Can I cancel anytime?
You can cancel after your first 3-month minimum commitment. After that, you can cancel whenever you like from your account settings.
Is my data safe and private?
Yes. Every childminder's account is completely isolated and secure — no other user can ever see your records, your children's details, or your finances. Your data is encrypted, stored in the UK, and fully GDPR compliant.
Are payments secure?
Completely. All subscription payments are handled by Stripe — one of the world's most trusted payment platforms, used by millions of businesses worldwide. We never store your card details. Stripe uses bank-level encryption and is PCI DSS Level 1 certified (the highest payment security standard). You can pay with total confidence.
What can parents see?
Parents log in to their own separate, secure Parent Portal. They only see their own child's information — daily updates, attendance, photos, the learning journal, invoices, messages, and any policies, contracts, or documents you choose to share. They never see your admin side, your finances, or any other family's details. You control exactly what is shared.
Do parents have to pay?
No. Parent access is included free — only the childminder has a subscription.
Will it help me with Care Inspectorate inspections?
Yes. ChildMinderPro is built around Scottish childcare compliance — inspection packs, ratio tracking, self-evaluations against the 2025 Quality Framework, policies, risk assessments, training and PVG expiry alerts, and more.
Does it include policy templates?
Yes — 31+ pre-written, Care Inspectorate-compliant Scottish policy templates that you can adopt and edit, or you can write your own.
Can I track money and invoices?
Yes. You can record income and expenses, generate invoices, send them to parents by email or WhatsApp, and run financial reports.
Can I use it on my phone during the day?
Absolutely — it's designed to work on mobile, so you can log attendance, incidents, sleeps, nappies, food, and notes on the go.
Can more than one user access the system?
At £12.99 per month, ChildMinderPro is single-user access — perfect for an individual childminder running their own setting. If you need multi-user access or something more tailored, get in touch and we're happy to discuss options.
