What is a Champion?
A professional advisory group β not an ambassador scheme
ChildMinderPro Champions are a small, selected group of practising Scottish childminders who provide honest feedback, help shape platform development, support the wider childminding community, and test new features before release.
They are chosen for their professionalism and contribution β not their social media presence or how many people they can refer. Being a Champion is about the quality of your practice and your willingness to give something back to the profession.
Think of it as the equivalent of a professional advisory group. Champions help us build the right things, in the right way, for real Scottish childminding settings β and they help fellow childminders get the most from the platform along the way.
The Role
What Champions Do
Provide honest product feedback
Shape future features and development priorities
Support and mentor newer childminders on the platform
Test new features before public release
Represent Scottish childminding professionally
Contribute to community resources and guidance
How You Become One
The Criteria
The pathway is transparent and open β there is no closed selection or favouritism. Champions are recognised based on the following:
- Active ChildMinderPro subscriber for 6 months or more
- Practising, registered Scottish childminder
- Participated in platform feedback (surveys, testing rounds, or community input)
- Engaged with the ChildMinderPro community
- Willing to commit to a defined role, not just a title
Numbers are kept deliberately small. Quality of contribution matters more than scale.
